THE SOAR MODEL: A Framework for Transformational Growth & Leadership

The SOAR Model is a simple, unforgettable framework built around four words:

S – See People First
O – Offer Value Before You Ask for Action
A – Align Around Purpose & Growth
R – Release and Multiply Others

SOAR is both a mindset and a method. It’s how Jesus led, how transformational leaders lead, and how healthy churches, schools, families, and organizations thrive.

Below is the full expanded explanation.

S — SEE PEOPLE FIRST

Leadership begins with sight, not strategy.

Most leaders start with goals, tasks, systems, or outcomes.
But transformational leadership starts with people.

To “See People First” means:

  • You notice people’s needs, emotions, strengths, struggles, and dreams.

  • You value them as human beings, not human resources.

  • You show empathy, presence, and genuine interest.

  • You make people feel seen, heard, and understood.

When people feel invisible, they disconnect.
When people feel seen, they rise.

This step mirrors Christ’s method: He mingled with people as one who desired their good.

O — OFFER VALUE BEFORE YOU ASK FOR ACTION

Influence always flows through service.

Most leaders expect people to follow before they serve them.
But transformational leaders do the opposite:
They Give Before They Guide.

This looks like:

  • Meeting real needs.

  • Equipping people with tools, support, and encouragement.

  • Adding value without expecting anything in return.

  • Building trust through generosity.

When you offer value first, people listen, lean in, and open their hearts.
Once people know you care, they will care about what you know.

A — ALIGN AROUND PURPOSE & GROWTH

Clarity transforms confusion into direction.

People don’t rise by accident. They rise by alignment.

To align means:

  • Helping people see the bigger picture.

  • Connecting their gifts to the mission.

  • Providing clarity about expectations and direction.

  • Helping individuals grow in character, skill, and mindset.

Alignment creates momentum.
When people understand the why, their work gains meaning.

Healthy alignment causes individuals, teams, and churches to move in the same direction—with passion, intention, and unity.

R — RELEASE & MULTIPLY OTHERS

Success isn’t what you achieve—it’s what you empower others to achieve.

Transformation is never complete until you release people to soar.

Releasing means:

  • Empowering others to lead.

  • Trusting them with responsibility.

  • Celebrating their success.

  • Passing on opportunities instead of hoarding them.

  • Mentoring, coaching, and multiplying leaders.

This is where exponential impact happens.

Releasing creates:

  • New leaders

  • Stronger teams

  • Sustainable growth

  • A culture that breeds empowerment

  • A community where everyone feels capable and called

When you release people, you multiply your influence far beyond anything you can do alone.

THE HEART OF SOAR

The SOAR Model is rooted in three core convictions:

  1. People are the greatest investment.

  2. Leadership is influence through service.

  3. Growth happens when people are seen, supported, aligned, and empowered.

SOAR is not just a framework.
It is:

  • A culture

  • A mindset

  • A leadership identity

  • A transformational way of seeing the world

  • A blueprint for building healthy families, schools, churches, and organizations

SOAR IN ONE STATEMENT

SOAR is a people-first model that helps leaders see people, serve people, align people with purpose, and empower them to rise.
